Become a Foster with PurrJoy
Fostering saves lives—plain and simple. At PurrJoy Cat & Kitten Rescue, our ability to rescue more cats and kittens depends entirely on loving foster homes like yours.
When you foster, you provide a safe, temporary home for a cat or kitten until they are ready for adoption. Whether it’s a tiny newborn needing bottle feeding, a playful kitten waiting to be spayed or neutered, or an adult cat needing a calm place to decompress—you are their bridge to a better life.
What Does Fostering Involve?
As a foster, you’ll provide:
• A safe, indoor environment
• Daily care (food, water, litter box cleaning)
• Socialization and love
• Transportation to scheduled vet appointments (when possible)
We provide:
• Veterinary care (vaccines, spay/neuter, medical needs)
• Guidance and support every step of the way
• Supplies when available (based on donations)
• Help finding the perfect forever home
Types of Fosters Needed
• Bottle babies (newborns needing round-the-clock care)
• Kittens (weaning to adoption age)
• Medical fosters (recovering or needing extra care)
• Adult cats (temporary placement or socialization)
Why Foster?
Because every open foster home means another life saved.
Our rescue is often at capacity, and without fosters, we have to turn away cats and kittens in need. By opening your home, you’re giving them a second chance—and helping us continue our mission in the community.
