Who we are

Hi, I’m Amy Lowry — the founder and heart behind PurrJoy Cat & Kitten Rescue.

PurrJoy was created from a deep love for cats and a calling to give them a safe place, gentle care, and a second chance. What started as helping a few cats quickly grew into a foster-based rescue dedicated to saving cats and kittens and preparing them for loving forever homes.

Today, our cats and kittens are cared for in their own dedicated rescue space designed to keep them safe, comfortable, and well cared for. This rescue wouldn’t be possible without the support of my husband and my two boys, who play a special role as our official kitten socializers. From cuddles and playtime to helping kittens grow confident and affectionate, our rescue truly runs on family, compassion, and joy.

Every cat who comes into our care receives proper medical attention, intentional socialization, and lots of love from day one. We focus on responsible rescue through spay and neuter compliance, indoor-only placements, and thoughtful, lifelong adoption matches.
